Tech. Note: Due to the Current setup of the Unwired Network, Netgear Products will not detect the type of connection automatically; therefore you will need to follow the instructions below. Unwired will Fix this at a later date

Ø Ensure that you have a working internet connection, before attempting to connect the Netgear Router as part of your home or office network.
1. Turn off your Unwired modem and computer.
2. Remove the end of the cable that is attached to your computer and insert it into the internet port (A) on the back of the Netgear router.


3. Take the Ethernet cable which came with the Netgear router. Insert one end into the local port (B) on the back of the Netgear router and the other end into your Ethernet port in your computer or laptop.


4. Turn on your Unwired modem and wait 30 - 60 seconds for the top light (the signal strength indicator) to form a solid green, yellow, or red light.
5. Turn on your Computer. If software usually logs you in to your Internet connection, do not run that software or cancel it if it starts automatically.
6. Turn the router on. The power light, the internet light and one of the local lights indicated by a number should be lit.

Start your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) and connect to the router, using the URL http://192.168.0.1 and press enter
The Username is admin and the Password is password
Note: If the screen below appears enter the following URL to bypass the smart Wizardhttp://www.routerlogin.com/basicsetting.htm


· Select Basic Settings
· When asked “Does your internet connection require a login” select “No”
· Leave all other settings as default (as graphics below)
· Click “Apply”
· Click on “Log out”

Reset your Unwired Modem
· Unplug the power cord from your Unwired modem.
· Wait 30 Second
· Power your cable modem back up again.
